Burnsville Center Village Area Traffic Study

About the Study

The City of Burnsville is conducting a traffic study of the County Road 42 area as part of the Burnsville Center Village Redevelopment Vision. The study will help determine transportation improvements that may be needed if the Center Village Vision becomes a reality.

For the study, the City and consultants will:

  • Collect existing traffic data
  • Develop an existing traffic operations model
  • Analyze existing conditions for problem areas
  • Develop future traffic operations models
  • Recommend public improvements to support development
  • Provide concept-level cost estimates for these improvements

The study is being funded by a Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) grant, and is being conducted by Kimley-Horn and Associates.

Project Feedback

The City asked the public for feedback in two areas for the study:

  • Feedback/Comments on Potential Proposed Transportation Improvements
  • Feedback/Comments on Areas the City Should Consider for Further Study
